Like all 3D mice made by 3Dconnexion, the SpaceMouse Compact features the patented “6DoF” (six degrees of freedom) technology which allows smooth and absolutely precise control. Lightly push, pull, twist or tilt the controller cap to easily pan, zoom, turn, or rotate the image. Or use any combination of movements to combine actions (i.e. pull and twist the cap to zoom and turn the image simultaneously).
The SpaceMouse Compact doesn’t replace your standard mouse, it works in conjunction with it. Use the SpaceMouse Compact to position the image while using your standard mouse with your other hand to select, create, or edit. Two buttons give easy access to simple commands: the FIT button moves the image back to the center of the screen, and the MENU button brings up a menu of important navigation settings. Using both hands on different mice takes a little getting used to, but once you get the hang of it you’ll be accomplishing so much more with a lot fewer clicks!
